It's Just A Crush

He caught my eye.

And then he slayed me with just one look, my way.

I can safely say,
he.is.the.cutest thing; with a little mark in the middle of his chin.

And a gaze that stares quite unafraid, momentarily, into mine.

His name is Dylan. And I can't wait to see him again.

The very first time I saw him, he was wearing a blue Bob The Builder shirt! I don't know why, but I freaking found that adorable.

Then today, it was a black Man. U jersey. Uh oh, a Liverpool fan falling for the enemy? =X
Ahahaha, I took first dips for his worksheets, gladly scanning the endless

10 - 8 =

11 - 3 =

8 - 5 =

...etc.

Who says you have to be tall and buff to be a ladykiller?
XD

Here's my inaugural effort for actually playing the game of tag online.
I usually find it cumbersome or likewise, but since it's my best friend tagging me... lol.
A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta, man.

1) The person who tagged you is:
I kena Double Kill, so I've two answers :
Lynette ('nett)
&
Kok Loong (KL).

2) Your relationship with him/her is:
'nett : Best Friend
KL : Old Friend. Now upgraded to Good Guy Friend.

3) Your first impression of him/her is:
'nett : Look like doll oni.
KL : Clone of Lionel!

4) The most memorable moments with them:
'nett : Sitting in the alley before my breakup.
KL : Valentine's Day.

5) The most memorable thing he/she has said to you is:
'nett : 'This paper has been kept since I was 12 or 13. Just waiting for the right time to use it." (That paper was a beautiful GREEN and it said Best Friend. That's when I knew.)
KL : "I'll say you're an angel."

6) If he/she becomes your lover, you will...
'nett : Play Audition together for our honeymoon. =>
KL : Pass our slow-eater genes to our kids. Lol!

7) If he/she became your lover, what should he/she improve at:
'nett : Killing butterflies. So she can protect me.
KL : Same as above.

8) If he/she becomes your enemy, what would you do:
'nett : Press Rewind, right away!!
KL : Pakat with Ashley (his diabolical sis) to make his life Hell.

9) If he/she becomes your enemy, the reason would be:
'nett : I've become an arrogant, sneaky, backstabbing slut. *Woah*
KL : I suddenly start eating reli fast. Ahaha.

10) The most desired thing you want to do for him/her now is:
'nett : Bake nut-less brownies so she can try them! (Though I doubt they'd taste good.)
KL : Drive over. To borrow the DVD player again, hahahah.

11) Your overall impression of him/her:
'nett : My babe, growing up so quickly!
KL : Again, the Most Patient Guy On Earth.

Fiercely loyal and protective of loved ones.

13) The characteristic you hate most about yourself:
Can be prejudiced towards strangers.

She held her head high, even when on the lowest of rungs; serving as a servant girl with her rightlful inheritence withheld for years.

15) For people that care and like you, say something to them:
Nice to meet you! =P

16) Pass this quiz to 10 ppl who you want to know how they feel about you.

7. Juliana
8. Kok Loong
9. Lynette

*I'll do all readers a favour, by putting the actual persons' names instead of numbers.*
Cheers, yo.

17) Who is 6 having a relationship with:
Jaf is having a fictional relationship with Alyssa. He reminds me of her existence every single day, without fail.
*It's the only thing that could make work suck, lol. But so far, so good.*

18) Is 9 a male or female:
Lynette... Female all the way; down to the once-a-month thing. =X

19) If 7 and 10 were together, would it be a good thing:
Juliana and Sean. =O
They'd both puke their guts out if it were to happen, that's how bad.

24) Will you woo 3:
Michelle?
Perhaps. I mean, if someone weren't already wooing her. *Wink wink*

25) How about 7:
I used to think about wooing Ju. Day and night, oyea.
And I know we used to sleep together a lot, but OF COURSE NOT!

28) What's the hobby of 5:
Oh enjoys watching Korean and Japanese dramas.

29) Do 5 and 9 get along well:
Giovana and Lynette have met; they're ok with each other. =)

30) Where is 2 studying at:
The Second Cell To The Left in Yann's Brain
Under The Coconut Shell
Covered By The Bush Hair
XP

31) Say something casual about your eyes:
One has always been bigger than the other. Somehow.

32) Have you tried developing feelings for 5:
Ooh, they're well developed, no worries.
Gio and I, we're so in love, ahaha.

33) Where does 9 live?:
From my house to Lynette's :
Go down the main road, cross the bridge, take the second last turning left.

34) What colours does 4 like:
Blue. And blue. And I don'treallyknow,Piggeh. =S

35) Are 5 and 1 good friends:

Two years later, their tayar still pancit. - -''

38) Does 1 have any pets?
Uhm, Ashley is Kok Loong's sister and Kok Loong has a 20sen pet fish.
Is that still considered yes?

39) Is 7 the sexiest person in the world:
Yes, Ju very well is the sexiest.
If the world consisted of only her and Kok Loong's pet fish, that is.

40) Are you sexy?
Sexier than Kok Loong's pet fish, for sure.

THE END.

Shirtsleeves

Yesterday was Hari Anugerah Cemerlang (HAC). The chairs were dusty as usual and I'd forgotten how long it would take to get to the part where I'd actually receive my cert onstage. As a result, my father had to sit two hours through the ceremony before having to leave for work. And I was still waiting for my cert. Well, I'm still happy he was there. =)

Strangely enough, the majority of my friends don't know what my father looks like.
Or they've forgotten.

So here he is; and I with him.
Yes, my whole family is short. I should probably be happy I'm of kinda-average height. =D

This HAC was special 'cause it was the only one in which the 3OfUs attended together as recipients.
Usually they're there as part of the choir while I sit on my chair and watch them sing. Ahaha.

~~'nett~~Nic~~Ju~~

Vivian was with us, too. Did us a favour by taking the photo above.
We four slipped out the back, past the coolest History teacher alive, Mr. Sritharan. He's totally chill; walks into class and out using the back door. AND he dispenses tips like a malfuntioned Coke machine!

Killing time by hanging out on the corridor by the fish pond.
Nicole : Everyone, bend down a bit! Okay, the timer is on!!
*Runs and squeezes in*

SMKTTDI's choir.
It was to Ju and 'nett what marching was to me.
Or so I think. They did seem to love it a lot.

Dressed all '70s for a rendition of Mamma Mia!

GuyWithTheBigHair.

She's so happy she got away with stealing The Big Hair.

What you get for scoring 6A's and above :
A certificate - In a file - With a plaque
And an envelope with cash in it. Mine held 50 bucks.

Sean and his mighty blinding plaque.
*If you shine it at me one more time, Imma hunt your precious DSLR and bury it!!*

Though I must say, the PMR plaque was much prettier than this SPM's one!

Then, at night... it was Happy Earth Hour.

I'd been looking forward to it, but it turned out to be such a rush job for me due to certain complications at home. Did manage to off all switches on time, though. And light the candles.

I marvelled at the plans some had made for Earth Hour;
Wanted nothing more than to just walk around and see which houses still had their lights on, ahah.

But I couldn't.

So I settled for soaking in the night air on my swing, after doing the chores.
It would never have done to stay indoors on a night like that.
(Especially with the fan off, I mean.) =P

It was good seeing Malaysia's inaugural effort in this movement kicking off succesfully. We can expect it to gain momentum in the following years.

Today wasn't the best;
I was a little down in the dumps in the afternoon,
feeling hateful and small and downright selfish.

I miss my soulmate.

Reading about our longest day out together, it lifted the ends of my mouth spontaneously.
This is the reason I write.
That I may not forget,
that I may heal and find forgiveness within me,
that I might embrace trial,
and find myself,
time and time again.

And then I wrote a little something for her.

Pulled Apart Like A Christmas Cracker

He was upset I was buying chicken for my mother.

Told me, take no sh*t from her.

And I understood. I understood both sides; conflicting as they were.

I couldn't run from either.

So I stood in the middle like I always do,

holding myself together.

Girl With The Red Sash

You know the way Kumon's icon is perpetually doleful? The expression on the round face is constantly pointed out as one reason why one shouldn't be enrolled in the first place.
However, I make it a point to smile all through work hours; a stunning feat for me.
When I was little, I used to sneer at people who smiled a lot; I thought it abnormal. But things are different now. Used to think I didn't have any reason to smile; now I
find the reasons to. Just at work, for now. I still think smiling can be so tiring.

Yesterday I arrived 10 minutes too early. So I called my father to let him know I was about to start work reeeaally soon! Heard the tender pride in his voice as he suddenly said,

"Papa's little girl, working already!"

^ ^

Examples of positive thinking at work...

*The Inbox is piling up dangerously speedily, and my neck is stiffer than my shoulders are. And my right arm hurts.*
Just remember that my back hasn't started hurting. Yet.

*Shoot, that boy keeps handing in worksheets like there's no tomorrow! Chill la dei, I can't mark fast enough!*
Be glad he's so hardworking. It would probably have been more gladden-ing if he were actually SMART into the bargain. Instead, we have to plough through the same mistakes again and again.

*Arghh, this is the sixth time I'm marking this fellow wrong!! So annoying.*
There's nothing positive about that, therefore we should just bite our tongue and keep on smiling.

Hehe, no horrific first-day-of-work story for me. Work was fun and enjoyable; I can foresee myself being comfortable here as a part-timer! My employer is lenient and concerned. Lunch break is long enough for me to have it with my mom as usual. Workplace is barely 15 minutes from
doorstep-to-parking-by-the-roadside-to-walking-over-and-taking-the-lift-up.

Actually, the only part that flustered us was when the stack in the Inbox tray refused to diminish. And we never knew little kids could be so intimidating; until they clustered in front of our desk, staring and fidgeting but otherwise just waiting. And waiting. We felt so powerless to change that; already working as fast as we knew how!
Turns out, Thursdays are the most hectic. Great choice for a first day, huh. XD

My favourite part is marking the basic Maths. No need to refer to answer books!

5 + 3 =

4 + 8 =

I like to steal these worksheets from Jaf. Hehehe.

As a bonus, my colleagues are really nice people. And I get to sit next to Jaf everyday and listen to him pining away for Alyssa, who is
"just like vanilla; plain but sweet as hell."
Oh Jaf. SHUT UP ALREADY! Ahahaha.
Sry, I meant, keep it coming. =>
And soon you'll see a two-scoop vanilla heading for your face. >D

Jaf, you the man.
Ahaha, World's Most Adorable Geek! =P

Another plus point for my chosen job : I get to wear anything. Aaanything I want. But it's so cold, I just want more layers. Lol.

______________________________________________________

Late nights, early mornings. Another round of that, tomorrow. I'll be feeling nostalgic at half past six in the morning, getting ready for school. This time in kitten heels; not canvas shoes. My last time accepting a cert for school honours. After years of wearing a uniform for such occasions, it's rather delightful to wear something else.

And my father will be going. Usually no one goes, 'cause it's no big deal, where I come from.
It reminds me that he loves me still, when I think of him attending church on Christmas
just because I asked him to - though he always hated it.
Then he got wary and always arranged golf games on Christmas Day so that he wouldn't have to tell his little daughter that he didn't
want to go at all.

That was a decade ago; when I was just the girl with the red sash.

Tie My Tie, Please?

This blogger is going off to work in little more than 14 hours! Goodbye, sweet leisure. Farewell, doing-whatever-I-feel-like-today. I am now bound by my work schedule at TTDI's Kumon centre.

4 days a week.
And if the workload's tremendous, employees shall be called upon to work on Wednesdays too.
They'll start me on simply marking papers first, based on answer sheets.

Cons :
It's cold; I'll have to buy more jackets. (Lol, I think I've just turned that into a pro.)
Also, the starting pay is low. But it'll increase as my capability is proven. (And I
shall prove it.)

Pros :
Shoes are not allowed inside the centre, which means I get to walk around just how I like it; barefooted.
And needless to say, working at Kumon also brings me into contact with children. =)

On the day of my walk-in interview, I also checked out the parking rates.

After snapping this photo, I got summoned by the security guard, who happened to be Indian. I was rather shocked at his assumption that I was too suspicious of him to ask him about the rates.

He kept barking, "You ingat saya tipu eh??"

The incident left me a little downcast; just because I'm Chinese and you're not... doesn't mean I have anything against you, dei.
I was just being logical, hahah; knowing I'd probably forget bits of what he'd tell me.
Since when did logic constitute racism?

Ah, well.
To mark the day before my first-ever job, I made it a point to catch even more movies.
Gah, Confessions Of A Shopaholic is being released tomorrow!
Awesome timing weii. - -'

For the third day in a row, I spent time with Yann.
*No, I'm not sick of you. Probably 'cause I'm already immune to you, hahah.*

We had a pleasant, jumbled lunch; bought
banana pie,
2 boxes of sushi,
crinkle cut fries and
sandwiches - tuna and *ecK* egg.
(I abandoned my egg sandwich.)

Took all of those, and got seated in the Chicken Rice Shop thanks to my craving for Pai Tee. I just couldn't stop talking about it; so I guess Yann wanted to shut me up. =>

Strangely enough, Jaya Jusco gave us a plastic bag that condemns its own existence.
It's like joining the Interact Club without any intention of interacting with anyone.

Time was ticking rather too quickly, so we upped and left the ripoff Chicken shop with the intention of smuggling sushi into the cinema - again. It's our specialty. =P

First movie was Gone Shopping, which I thought was by Jack Neo. But it definitely wasn't him; not up to par with his standards. It felt incomplete, though with its fair share of laughs. It was alright, but not very satisfactory.

Dragonball, however, was one cool flick. Special effects were well executed, and they didn't try to stretch the movie but instead, made it short and sweet. Smart move, I say.
The ending of Gone Shopping ate into Dragonball's showtime, so it had us sprinting through the carpark and up the escalator again. And we still missed the beginning. Ridiculous.
I don't mind watching it again, though. XD

OU's happy corner.
Wonder why I've never come across it before.

Spent 20 tokens in the arcade. I smacked the air hockey puck right off the table!
And kept scoring goals for my opponent, lol.
Really, it's been too long. Almost six years.

*Commercial break*

Something pretty that caught my eye in the Lake Gardens.

Yokomon ice-creams, to add to the Mega Pink Smackdown.

*Back to today's programme*

These words tumbled out onto paper when I reached home.

And maybe you did recognise
The necklace I wore today.
You were the one who pointed it out;
When I'd hardly have given it a second thought.

And I know you chose to roll the dice...
In muted fear, I faced our parting of ways.
Those hours passed in light and shadow,
Conviction in me; I was ready to go.

Retracted my loyalty; all care and support.
On my own feet, I rose to the top.

Baby got back again.

The Day My Slippers Got Kidnapped

Sure, who'd want to spirit away my old, worn out flip flops? But I can't find them, seriously; those comfortable, brown foam critters flecked with pink and white. =S Maybe they're just jealous I bought new ones; a pretty pair of ombre orange. Hehe.

Well, today I finally sent my car for servicing - after putting it off again and again. Yann and I hung out at the side of the road like a couple of good-for-nothings, and even contemplated breaking into the Rojak Kasim truck. Or whatever the rojak guy's name is. Ahaha. His doors weren't even locked!
The sum I brought was enough to foot the bill and buy a model car, which Yann then bought from me. The red Ferrari with touch-steering; kinda fun. And I got a free non-touch-steering car with it, yellow in colour. My first little toy car, lol.

Went back to her place to make milkshakes. Mine was strawberry-vanilla with a shot of orange cordial thrown in. Whiled away an hour or so, chilling with Shadow Buddy. Her dog has a first and last name! Ahah. He came up to me; I extended my arm. He curled one leg around it with the other one resting on my chair, holding me close almost as a human would. But the unsettling thing was his expression; the way he eyed me as a dog would eye a ham, with his doggy teeth gleaming wickedly.
W-o-a-h!! Easy, boy. I.am.not.dogfood.
Solution : I scolded him and scrammed. =]

Shortly after that peculiar episode, we left to check out shooting locations around Taman Tun, for Yann's photography contest.
Our last stop was TTDI Hills, home of the filthy rich. We managed to persuade the guard to let us through with the camera, and made the most of it by checking out every single road and byroad. This is why only rich people stay here; because they'd have flashy cars to get them up the freaking hilly roads.
Still, I'd been raring to run (or jog, at least) and this here was my work out - we took the risk and ran like mad past some nasty hornets hovering near a wall of flowers. It was either that or going back the long way we'd come. Also, I wondered, why did we have to come here of all days, when I'd chosen to wear Apek clothes. Ahaha bet we looked real out of place, staggering up the hill in laughter dressed like that.
Well I say, let the good times roll. =)

P.s. There have been false bad tidings the day before this.
Giovana's father is NOT in massive jeopardy after all! Cancer only above the collar, and it will and shall be treated. Oh my; what can I say.
It's such a relief.

Do A One-Eighty

Finally, time enough to get back to baking. Tried out a recipe for brownies today, from my adopted mentor. She's a friend of my father's, and stays in Kelana Jaya too. The cool thing is, she sent the recipe together with a sample of the result. I loved it. Actually, I seldom eat brownies 'cause they always seem like such short farts compared to other cakes; so I don't really know what a brownie should taste like. Ahaha.

It went pretty well; I was excited that the raw mixtures themselves tasted good already. Then I caught a whiff of that familiar burnt smell, and was so disappointed. But maybe I took it out in the nick of time, 'cause it was still edible! My oven is so hot, I can never follow the recipes' cooking times. All on my own intuition. Woman's intuition. =)

Then I just had to check the papers and see what movies I was missing; and apparently there were TOO many. So I called Yann on the double and we went to catch The International. Our official first 18SG ticket! Hehehe. She tried to get a student discount by using our old tuition student card. Dude, being 18 means we don't have
tuition anymore! Lol lah.
It was nice being on time for the movie, sitting through all the trailers and ads again. And savouring the saltiness of my corn in cup while she ploughed through her box of caramel popcorn. I've disliked caramel for ages, but perhaps there's hope, 'cause I stole more than usual today.

The International was a fast-paced, complex story of espionage and assasination. My favourite topics, but the sheer number of male characters had me perplexed.
*Where did this guy come from? Hey, he looks familiar...*-kind-of-thing. Gah.
It was also full of shooting and squirmish scenes with blood spurting out of holes in men's bodies. Gushing and nearly spraying out, lol. The most hilarious part was the beginning; funny in a twisted way. Keep your eyes peeled for that.

And by the way, with the football craze back in season, I have made my choice.
Supporter of Liverpool, that's me; since two nights ago!
They kicked ass last night, with a whopping 5-0. Oyea.

This morning, I received news that Giovana's father had undergone the operation safely and that things were fine. But when I came out from the movies, I got a completely different message that brought me to an actual halt. I remember freezing in front of the Voir Gallery, right there. He had just been diagnosed with nose cancer. And the lump in his neck? Cancer cells that had spread. In fact, most of his body has already been infected. This is my closest encounter with a reputed terminal illness, and I am afraid. I know nuts about cancer.

How much calamity can God throw in your pathway? One after another, it seems. There's the sunshine, far overhead. So far.

Move Over, Bob The Builder!

There's a new handyman in town, and her name is Nicole; Ah Soh Soh, if you please. =P
Yesterday morning I assembled an Ikea garden bench all on my own. My fault anyway, for wanting one. Ahaha.

Spent close to an hour on my knees, lifting the planks into place and fastening them with nuts, bolts, a screwdriver and the works. I'm actually pretty handy with a spanner now. =D Sepanar Boleh Laras, always brings back those hot lazy afternoons in Form 1 Kemahiran Hidup.

Anyway, if you see a dark backless bench in front of my door one day, feel free to honour my hard work by placing your rear end on it. Tqverymuch.

Yesterday's afternoon was filled with music practices and Youth service, from 2 to 7 in the evening. Then straight to Ikea to change a faulty bolt. I may consider wearing big baggy clothes out for grocery shopping more often; 'cause of those whistling machen. Slap them, weii.

It was a very tiring 24 hours, rendering me exhausted enough to turn off my alarm as it performed its duty early this morning. Would've gone on sleeping, perhaps right through the Sunday worship service where I was to play keyboard!, if it hadn't been for my Piggeh and his timely text message. Go you. =)

Highlight of today was to be the DanzMania finals at the Sunway Pyramid arcade, with Giovana. This is where the pros show us their killer moves in time with the arrows on the Dance Dance Revolution platform screen. I was very much looking forward to it. That is, until I heard of my sister's father's admission into hospital. He is to undergo operation tomorrow morning, 8 a.m., for a growth in his neck that has been there for close to two years. Had no mood to go witness DDR anymore. I don't really like this cliche line, but there's always next time.

Another cliche I don't believe in is "Have fun". Ahaha, everyone uses it but sometimes it makes sense; those are the times I use it myself. What an overused phrase, honestly.

Day Came

And so it did. PMS and lack of sleep aside, I was determined to make things work smoothly today - the one I'd worked so hard for. Believe me, hacking the soil loose from between the solid roots of a dead palm tree is no easy task.

The simplest words need to be said.

For Giovana, on your today.

I hope you sleep with it under your pillow, bathe with it and have your meals with it. XD
By the way, it's a pot of soil. How magnificent.
With a bean planted in it, I mean. That changes everything, no? =P

Finally got to Sunway and Subang without much trouble. Drove us girls to Sunway Pyramid, soon to be my shopping haunt, now that I know the way there. =]

Here we are on the steps of the arcade;
Michelle, B'dayGirl, and this writer.

Jo Yee (affectionately called Joey), Giovana, Nicole.

Set the mood by doing some casual shopping and stopping for Yokomon ice-creams.

Jakunified.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
I'm kidding, I don't really believe that. Otherwise, I would've dyed my hair and succumbed to strutting around in designer togs and Guess bags.
To h*ll with that.

Treated her to lunch at Sushi Zanmai, since Japanese is just about at the top of her list of Favourite Things To Eat.

Flanked by the ones in red.

*Deep in meditation for the feast ahead.*

The first arrival to fall into the merciless hands of a bunchful of ravenous girls;
Sukiyaki.

Take cover, yo.
I like my toe ring. =)
And no, those aren't my toes that I picked up the chopsticks with.
Also, I'm not left-handed.
Conclusion; guilty of posing just for the sake of it. > <

Late for the movie, but it didn't matter. Strange that the trailers took up only a short time; we were counting on it to buy us more shopping minutes!

The Race To Witch Mountain had car chases which kept your eyes so open they dried up and shriveled, a very nifty superpower complete with likeable effects, and comic moments majorly thanks to Dwayne Johnson's expressive mug. Not as draggy as Marley&Me, and certainly a more recommended watch. I had no idea it was sci-fi, though.

Michelle left soon after the movie, and the remaining three of us went down for doughnuts.
My second round of J.Co in a single week. =)

The first time I've bought a box of a dozen. You don't expect my mother and I to finish all twelve in 12 hours, do you?
This purchase was shared by us three; six of them for Giovana, hahaha. Joey was prematurely in Pigging Out mode, that's why there are only 11 donuts in this photo.

I admit, the one bitten donut was there on my account. Couldn't wait to sink my teeth into the soft cloud of chocolatey satisfaction.

This is the first time in history that I've actually uploaded pictures on the very day of an event.
A first; and it's for you.

You, the only one who has ever found a spot in my heart as a genuine sister.

We know each other well enough to know who's the one who kicks people in her sleep, who never speaks before brushing her teeth, and who would willingly get up to bring two cups of drinks while the other continues stuffing her face complacently.

Cheers to us, dear.

It is said that "Love keeps no record of wrongdoing."

I still remember you saying sorry for mistreating me, last year. Still remember being absolutely clueless about what you meant, because I was just blaming myself for mistreating
you.

Let's keep it tight, sister.
We're a decade-and-one old now, and I want to keep counting.

Happy Birthday to you.

Faded, Blue

And I feel so faded, like the blue jeans you hung
on the line this morning.

So tired, like the wheels of your automobile
as you burn the miles.

And uninspired, like the words on your lips
as I take off with mine.

What Am I Waiting For?

Every sigh tinged with dull grief.

Another minute in a rare void of nothingness.

For all those hours I'd lived, like one living;

This moment is to un-live, it seems.

Why these fragments of emptiness?

Two Out Of Three

Forgot to mention, my Youth had a picnic brunch event at the Lake Gardens last Saturday. Nearly everyone made sandwiches, and I actually ate egg sandwich there. I thought I hated egg sandwiches. It was lots of fun, with plenty of walking and running about, thanks to the well-planned treasure hunt. My enthusiastic team members brought in the gold. =) Oh, running. How I've missed it. Even if it's just a run in the park, it makes me feel more alive, always.

Today, I was up at 7.50 a.m. to bring my mom for yet another medical appointment. And after lunch, I started journeying to pick Kok Loong up from Monash. All by my ownty-downty self. And then I got lost.

Kok Loong had texted : DUN go into the housing area.
I'd accidentally read : DEN go into the housing area.

> <'' So, very deliberately, I turned into the residential section and calmly pulled into an empty parking slot to tell him that I'd gotten myself lost. All by my ownty-downty self. So much for that phrase being a triumphant gloat, ahaha.

Made it to Monash by using common sense, 'cause the map didn't seem very effective on me. I know, never go on a road trip with me as navigator, aye? *Sniff* We did a few circuits around Subang, then I went up the ramp into Sunway Pyramid's carpark. And me being me, I made us enter the mall "to make use of the one hour we're paying for", which eventually stretched to more than an hour. This shopaholic needs to be stopped! Ahaha. Didn't buy anything today, but even window shopping was rather addictive.

It was 4 p.m. and I couldn't resist the peckish feeling that's part of my upbringing - my father used to shower ourselves with tidbits and treats all the time. Lined up for doughnuts at J.Co and tried to ignore the little girl staring straight up at me for some unknown reason, like I had toilet paper shoved up my nose. She had shiny huge pink baubles on her own head; go look in the mirror! >D Then we sauntered over to the Asian Avenue for Yokomon ice-creams. Strawberry was too soft and foamy for my liking, but their Dark Chocolate rocks fair enough.

It was getting late, so we left the real shopping for another day. Got caught in one of Subang's notorious traffic jams. Was so stiff sitting behind the wheel, I actually got butt-sore. Lol. Reached the Sri Hartamas Taylors campus at 6.20 p.m.. They were officially closed, but the security let us in to speak with the one remaining employee. Turns out, I was much too early for the June/July intake. They hadn't even published the relevant subject combinations!
And oh, for all my 7 A1's, it is considered equivalent to 10 A's and only gives me a measly RM1000 off. Lol, I'd take it, if it means I'm allowed to spend that 1k on clothes and trinkets instead! =P

Do Subang and Sunway, check.
Talk to Taylors personnel, check.
Service car... *ran out of time*.

That makes 2 out of 3.

Just a lot of a little, I miss those ripples.

And tomorrow it'll be another full day.

Infant Clouds With Apple Cheeks

Driving is becoming fun again. Teehee. On Sunday morning, I had green lights all the way to church - a record-breaking first! And I'm getting better at one-handed turning of the wheel. Also in progress, left foot training on the pedals. What's the point of such idiocy, you ask? Well, I once hurt my right ankle bad enough that I couldn't use it to drive, so luckily at that time I'd already had some experience using the left one. That's how I came to appreciate that particular skill. =)

Odds & Ends :

The first loaf of bread I'd made.
The floury bottom made it feel oh-so professional, like those breads sold in Italian bakeries. =)

The first slice, chef's delight or consumer's disaster.

The punnet of strawberries that escaped the scorching heat of the oven.
Yes, I cut them in halves and arranged them by hand.
And it has everything to do with my Beckham's disorder, aye.

Britney's fragrance, a gift from my Cousin Qyreenia who was visiting from Canada.
The box was fascinating.

Behold,
Curious.

Pretty charms, for that feminine touch.

On the last evening of February, my message counter hit 999.
Oh, I reset the counter every month, so this was a rather mean feat for me.

Guess who's the lucky person who hit the jackpot?

Congratulations, Phuah Kok Loong! Yours was the 1oooth message to reach me, before I switched to my new W595.
Now now, hidung kembang? Hahahhaaha. You're so weird that way.

Odds and ends aside, I'm busy this week. Music practices galore for the weekend, and lots of errands during the weekdays. Important occasion on Friday. *Wink wink*
