First there was The Checklist, all ticked. Then there was the everything else that I didn't dare put on The Checklist for fear of never having them ticked.
This one had the many, many things I'd been looking for and never thought I'd find so soon. Well, I didn't - he found me. The very moment I wasn't searching or looking out for him. But then, that's often how the most fantastic things happen. Just like that.
I've had sugar shivers sent down my spine before,
sweet everythings which amounted to nothing,
happy imaginings laid down in the face of sober truth;
walkaways from never-could-be's-so-I'm-not-hanging-around.
And I've learnt. It all tells me I've found someone.
Someone who will last. Someone who won't fade away.
