Snail Mail's Back In Vogue

Aye, ladies and gentlemen; trust me when I say, snail mail's making a comeback in the circuit. At least, from where I'll be. 'Cause apparently it costs ME RM2 for every text sent or received overseas. So... an average chat would cost me enough to buy new schmexy blouse! Ahem. I think I'd rather have the top. XD

Postcards will be my priority when I get to NZ. Or if I find them too small to fit all my luvin' in, a letter would be in order instead. Will try to send them early during my trip; hope it'll be worth the effort I took to find all the addresses that I knew the location of but just didn't know the exact name of the road or number of the house. Ya know, the way you've been friends for ages 'til things like that don't matter anymore. Well this time it really mattered 'cause I can't just address it to :

Peter Beng Ah Chong,
No. 31(or)33, The Road Beside The Pasar There
The Red Roof House Beside The Big Mango Tree Wan
Err Sometimes Got The Red Myvi In Front Wan
60000 Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia.

- -''' Imagine that. Not to worry, I've got all the details needed now. *Grins*

Won't waste a minute to goodbye
You came,
You stay
But I'm going on my way
Baby, just wait 'til the storm's over
Is it too much to ask?

He thinks shuffling is hilarious.
Shuffling is cool, as long as they don't chicken-ize it.
He prefers Coffee Bean to any other coffee chain in the world.
I drink tea, not coffee.
He sees Guess bags as fascinating.
I hate the buckles and bulk of 'em.
He worships music.
It was once the bane of my existence.
He's more comfortable in cool, chilly surroundings.
I was born a sun child.

We're all wrong next to each other, so where does that leave me?

Between Then And Now

I wouldn't gladly turn my back on any scrap of my past.
So here's the link to the old blog : www.xanga.com/Chic_Ahmoi

You've got me thinking...
If I raced towards the weekend,
Could I begin to comprehend?
The intricacies of this void-ridden chapter
The reasons why you've got me wrapped around your finger
And if I twist the ring around my finger,
Would it make you reappear?

The Cliche-ness. Blogspot.

Well, here I am. Finally hopped onto the bandwagon and got my tush here on Blogspot. Just like the rest of the world. Honestly, I still think it's beyond cheesy that everyone uses this site; Xanga at least had a more exclusive feel to it. But it's been so uncooperative lately... I tire of putting up with it already. So again, here am I. Teehee.

I miss the many many colour options I had at Xanga; the ease of selecting the border hue, background shade, and palette for fonts. But obviously, you can't always have it all. Nuh-uh. Unless... you have a huge crush on a pair of glittering stilettos; and you snatch it up to the counter without a second thought, and then you start regretting as soon as you find yourself in the fitting room of the sizeable boutique next door, the floor littered with clothes you have tried on, eyes flickering between two charming pieces, one hand apiece. Thus was the dilemma I found myself in; knowing there was no way my wallet held enough to take home all. The moral of the story is... it's times like this you can have it all; you just have to be persistent enough. =P I simply made a reservation for those two, and walked out of Kitschen with an almost tangible peace of mind. And that was just the beginning.

The stop at Kitschen was initially just to drop in and gawk at Juju, working at that time. Her new two-shifts-a-day-for-four-months job. =) She practically raced out from the store room area when 'nett called to say we were outside; ran right past our figures shaking with repressed laughter - our own backs pressed tightly to the rack of clothes, trying to blend in. A ridiculous sight, to be sure. The things we do for love. *Rolls eyes* =P

A big pile of garments and a couple of chidings (from Ju, cos SHE has to hang it all back) later, I proceeded to the next part of the day's shopping spree : finding decent shades for my trip to NZ. 'nett and I wandered round OU, also checking out rings when they appeared. Her ring hunting rubbed off on me and I got one for myself. Used to be averse to buying rings 'cause I thought they were always frustratingly, too big for my fingers. So technically, we both got toe rings not for wearing on our toes. Haha, it's easier too remove anyway; the band stretches apart with ease.

For the shades, we retraced our steps quite a few times before settling on the best pair between two stores. Thanks babe, for being my photographic memory. Need to work on that. Lol. Oh yeah, while thanks are still in order... Thank you, Ju, for taking all those clothes which you though I'd like to me... and for forcing me to try on those lala shorts... and for accepting my straightforward *Yuckkkkk* concerning them. Hahah.

The day ended all too soon, with a free cuppa root beer at A&W; free 'cause we had to wait for the curly fries. All too soon, because I'm not seeing my babes 'til next month and I won't be here to see anyone during Chinese New Year. Anyone, including... Ang Pau Number 1, all the way to Ang Pau Number 10 and beyond. Ahaha yeah, I'll be taking off for New Zealand on the 12th, back on 31st. I'm gonna cherish this long long vacation and after all I've heard of its bountiful natural beauty... I wouldn't mind not having ang pau's this year; just to experience that.
